Globemaster

Went to CIAF today - the "big" airshow in Brno, Czech Republic, and I was surprised and thrilled to find a C-17 giving a display. It flew beautifully and slowly (my wife says "like a slug"  :D), so I managed to get some decent shots even with my snap-shot camera. Thought I'd share them.

Now I just have to get that payware  C-17!!  :o
Payday is just a few days away......

Excellent shots of my favorite Cargo Bird!

(Psst... What's this Payware C-17 you speak of?! I know Alphasim apparently has one in the works, but I haven't seen head nor tail of it in ages!)

Stating that this bird is rather big, would be a slight understatement! Amazing!  :o

Great shots, I hope they did a short runway landing demo, one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

Thanks guys!!

Yep, they did a VERY short landing, the approach and roll was something similar to a C-172  :o
Amazing!!
It's very short for its height, so looks a bit tubby, but kind of radiates massiveness even though there are a ton of bigger planes out there.

You saw the very same plane Alonso?  :D
I suppose it must be the 'publicity bird' or something....

Mic, I do sometimes post shots of real aircraft, but my camera is not designed for flyby shots - I just post statics.

Isak922  - I'm sorry, it must have been the Alphasim one I'm thinking about. I saw screenies of it and I must have  assumed it already existed  :'(

Botherations. Well, hope they  hurry up with it  :)

Cheers

I did a quick google search yesterday, and found that fsd-international has an T-38 package that also includes a very basic C-17 as a bonus (No panel, extremely basic VC).

However, the Alphasim WIP screenshot I saw was downright amazing, and that was only the VC!

If I wanted to fly a very basic C-17 I'd fly the freeware one  :D - thanks for the heads up though!
I'll wait for the Alphasim one when it's done. Hurry up AS!!  :)

I really like the C-17.  A cargo plane that almost flies like a fighter!! :)

...and looks like something I find in my toile...

...nah, I'll stop there... ;) ;D

Effective aeroplane though. The RAF could do with another 5 or so!
