My Days out Part 1

Postby FsNovice » Sun Sep 02, 2007 4:53 pm

I've been on my summer school break and for the last two weeks, as my parents were off, we went out for a few days to some places. I thought i'd post a few here and show you my travels of the UK!

Didnt unfortunately get any of the first day, the Big Pit in Wales, due a ban on contraband, for which camera batteries are included.

Starting then with Dartmoor, we decided on a family view of Dartmoor hikes, a short jaunt up Great Mis, much removed from the more Hardcore hiking i am used to - signs dont come blunter than this

Someone obviously stole the camera, got this shot of me carrying the bag, as i am more used to dartmoor, it was only fair

Heheh Dartmoor.
I live but a stone's throw away from Dartmoor!  Up the road walking for about 10-20 minutes would bring me onto the Dartmoor National Park area, the Southern part.
I live in Ivybridge, did you ever go near it?
Cheers, great photos,

It rings a bell, but never walked near it, will do next year though, doing the ten tors, 45 miler, so i will have to walk nearer the bottom of Dartmoor - just dont want pupers hill

@Jared, luckily no landmines that time, although a team we were walking with training for TT last year did find some exploded grenade, picked it up as well! :-? :-? (Their leader said they could, i think)

That type of sign seems familiar (apologise for blur but the light was almost gone that night)...

what range is that sign on?, the sign i got a shot of was a warning for the start of the merrivale firing range.
