Went wandering around the other day... some pictures:


Wow! This is something: a steam-powered yacht, the Medea, launched in 1904.

     

The US revenue cutter Californian, a mid-1980s replica, fires her saluting cannon. That's the USS Ronald Reagan in the background... she's here visiting.

     


The fabulous Star of India, moored with sails out  because she sails regularly.

     


A classic ferryboat with a classic name.

     


The fabled USS Midway lives here as a museum: frikkin big boat!!

     


A Cold War-era Soviet attack sub, open to the public.

Nice shots Sean.  The Medea was on dirty jobs last season.  Cleaning out the boilers is a very dirty job.
