airventure 07- part 21- more GA

A mixed bag this time, for sure... I have way too many statics from this year, and so many of them are interesting and worth sharing...

Here is an odd but appealing offering from Russia: the M12. Twin pusher Jabirus. No idea how much iot costs or what it can do, but it's very unusual. Not a kit, not a LSA.

The unorthodox seating arrangement of the M12.

And the very capable -looking panel...

A bit more conventional, but certainly drool-worthy: the new Mooney Ovation 3. The breathtaking new Bravo had people swarming all over it, so no pics of that- sorry.

And a terrific replica of the famous "Schoenfeldt Firecracker" racer, which was flown by such notables as Tony LeVier back in the 1930s.

A closer look at Kyle Franklin's custom Super Cub:

This is a Goose with a serious attitude... holy moley!!  :o

Next: part 22 (as in F-22)

Fascinating. Not heard of it before. More info here. http://www.aviakom.ru/m12/description/

The unorthodox seating arrangement of the M12.

That layout reminds me of some 1930s British touring aircraft, like the Miles Falcon & DH Puss Moth and not forgetting the bigger DH twin-engined biplanes like the Dragon & Rapide. Not much is new. ;)

PS. It apparently comes in kit form or ready-assembled according to preference. http://www.aviakom.ru/m12/price/

Cool; thanks, Doug.

I was struck by how they addressed the dual-control issue in a 3-seater... I'm sure it works fine, but it must be very odd for whoever's flying from back there, especially if they're used to the usual arrangements.

Looking at the price I don't think we'll be seeing one at Popham any time soon but you never know. ;)

I noticed that too. I don't think the examples I quoted were fitted with dual control. Strictly pilot + two passengers.
