It takes fairly good stills, too... not bad with today's murky air and bad light (plus me not quite knowing how to use the camera properly).

How sad for this old Hammond, but how nice for me: got three good 5-pos rotary switches off it for the simpit project.

Whew... I was starting to think the morning glories would not be back this year. Shoulda known better...
My new baby: Panasonic GS85; OIS, stills and vid to SD card or miniDV; 35X optical zoom; manual focus; 16:9 or 4:3 format... bought it in a hurry (Oshkosh looming!) but I got a pretty good deal: camera, two L-ion batteries, charger, UV filter, 2-year warranty, and five tapes for just shy of $400 (at B&H).
There will no doubt be some clips hitting YouTube just after I get back from Airventure... stay tuned.
