A Douglas Dolphin- never seen one before. I like the kooky sesquiplane wing on top of the engines.
Speaking of amphibians, here's a nice Goose:
This Widgeon, this plane you see here, once was used to sink a German U-boat. Not sure how they managed that exactly, but if the boat's guns were working, it must have been very interesting.

I can't remember what this is, although I know what it was used for... anybody else know?
It's a shame that most of the really cool planes here are midnight blue, and displayed in poor light... but
I just had to try to capture this Tigercat. I love Tigercats!!
The Navy, however, was not crazy about them. They did very well in the air, test pilots raved about them, but with their heavy weight and poor single-engine stability, they were deemed unsuitable for carrier ops.
