Hmm... looks like daddy spit had his way with a naughty Mooney! Maybe it'll look better once it grows up...  ;D

From the looks of it I'd say it's a Mooney M10 ( based on the Ercoupe)... but that's just going on the tail and the propellor...

For general info:

it is a 1953 Mooney M-18C that seats one.

Accident/Incident Occurred on: 2004-09-11
Narrative: (-23) WHEN PILOT ARRIVED AT CLAREMORE, OK THERE WERE SEVERAL AIRCRAFT IN THE LOCAL AREA. ANTICIPATING BEING ABLE TO ENTER THE PATTERN HE LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR. AFTER OBSERVING THE TRAFFIC IN THE AREA THE PILOT ELECTED TO RAISE THE LANDING GEAR WITH THE INTENT OF LOWERING IT LATER WHILE IN THE PATTERN. PILOT THEN ENTERED THE PATTERN AND LANDED WITH THE GEAR STILL UP.

I would therefore assume that after the incident the current owner bought the wreckage and turned it into a one of a kind aircraft :)

The airfield is Beach City Airport, Beach city Ohio ICAO: 2D7. The field is not normally this busy, but every fathers day they have a fly-in where people from all over Ohio bring their airplanes. on a normal day they see maybe 3-5 operations unfortunately.

lol, there's a small office on the airfield but that is about it, I think you can get coffee or water to drink in there....!

For the fly-in they were serving breakfast and lunch for donations ;)

The "Mite" is a bit goofy-looking, but I hear they're a lot of fun to fly.
