Illusion of speed......

Postby Rifleman » Sun Jun 17, 2007 4:41 pm

A while back, I was at the airpark in time to see the departure of this cute little glass smoothie..........went out fast as I knew it would, and so took the appropriate action to make it look even faster, with the way I shot the images........ 8-)

With the long exposure and wide aperture, plus the higher sensitivity of the sensor at ISO 200, I'm surprised that this didn't overexpose. Also with the 1/60 you've managed a very sharp shot of the body of the aircraft, although the tail is giving away the motion a little.

A really good catch  8-)

I was hoping the smallish F:8 would give me some depth of field since the day wasn't all that bright so I also had to use 200 to keep the speed around 1/60 and maybe manage some hand-hold ability........quite lucky for the day and speed.
