The airport statue...

..or so it seems at the local grass strip which had it's annual fathers day fly-in today!

a shame its in that condition.


Needs new paint, for sure, but the tires aren't flat and the engines are covered... somebody believes in that plane, so there's hope for it yet. ;D

I'm not so sure about that Rotty...

The aircraft has been there since late 92 early 93 from what I can tell and is owned by a guy who lives about an hour away from it. The aircraft has been in the same condition for the past 4 years, nothing has moved other than the tailwheel which has shifted off of it's cement patio on which it used to rest due to the raging windstorms which probably wreaked havoc on the poor lil bird.

I love to believe and I will never give up hope in this bird, yet I believe if anything is to be done to it the current owner will need lots more funds...! :-)
