U.S. Open

Postby Roughrider » Sun Jun 10, 2007 1:14 pm

Went to my sons flying lesson this morning and did a little spotting while I was there, for some reason it was very busy for a Sunday morning, then I remembered that the U.S Open starts here tomorrow. Maybe thats why its so busy. Thought I would posts a few shots that you guys might enjoy.

That Citation X is a flying contratiction. Something between butt-ugly and awesomly sexy. :-/

Nice snaps and kudos to your son.

Well, where are the pictures, don't tell me you didn't take pictures during your Discovery flight. I've also been waiting for your shots from KPIT.  Looks like I'll be going to Wings over Pittsburgh on Saturday.

The fact that its the fastest general aviation airplane at .92 Mach does it for me.  Sweet photo!

If you're flying it, you can't have to complain about its looks anyways. ;D

I'd be interested to know what the shutter speed was for the picture of your son going by in the Cessna. My S3 has a top speed of 1/3200 seconds. Yours must be fast as well, because that prop seems to be stationary...

I just went back in the camera and looked up the information for you, the shutter speed was 1/2000 and aperture was 6.3.  hope that helps you and answers your question. Mark    :)
