Real shame... the MiG-23 is such a nice plane

Poor old girls...they need someone to renovate them and get them flying again...


You'd be better off building an entirely new airframe!

An-225, the MiGs have been buried in the sand.

They look terrific with graffiti on them... like that chunk of the Berlin Wall I've seen at the Intrepid  museum.
Pretty much for the same reason. ;D

I say it would be good to clean up some of them, but display a few as is. ;D

I wouldn't bother trying to restore any of those shown to flying condition, however.   :-/

Probably cheaper just to buy one from India or some other country still using it  ;D  ;D

if no one else is takeing them i will take on, put on my front lawn. if jeremy clarkson can have a hunter or whatever it is he has on his lawn why cant i have a tagged mig-23.... will look good. mite scare the yobs away

It would be too difficult (if not impossible) and expensive to move one of those to your yard. Besides, it would be too tacky... ;)

JC did have a Lightning on his lawn at one point, but it was only temp.
