The prop in shot one looks dangerously slow-moving. ;D

That first one is very dramatic, the cloud formations and the secured prop  8-)

What happened?

I was flying a Piper Seminole out of Waco, TX.  I'm working on my multi-engine instructor rating.

Oh nothing happened.  I was just practicing shutting down and securing an engine.  After I got it restarted, we got a "pop-up IFR" back to the airport and approach vectored me through the leading edge of the thunderstorm on an ILS.

Thanks for that, just unusual to see a Navy Orion and a NASA Talon in one place.

Yeah, there's a company on the field that does a lot of contract work on various aircraft.  They work on P-3s, C130, and several other military and civilian contracts.  One contract they just finished up was SOFIA, hence NASA's presence.  Here's a link to the SOFIA website...

Here's another fun NASA airplane.  This F-18A got me on airliners.net...

Very nice, that first one is great, but I'll always love the T-38. 8-) ;)
