Biloxi-Day 4

Postby beaky » Sat May 19, 2007 8:54 pm

Got a lot done today, and as we're taking tomorrow off, I decided to head over to KGPT to try to find an FBO and see about a rental checkout, maybe for tomorrow.
Only found one flight school, and it was closed for the day... but saw some interesting birds on the ramp. I'll try to get some better shots later, when I go back tomorrow. There were two apparent USAF Dragonflys, and that airliner has an N-number... very odd. There is an ANG base at the airport, but I'm not sure these have anything to do with that.

Took the long way back, driving along the coast. Here are some random "drive by" snaps...

A decent shot of a fine crescent Moon and Venus (NOT Saturn), taken early this evening. There was nice Earthglow on the Moon, but I couldn't quite catch it because I have no tripod and can't use the auto shutter release for the correct exposure. I was lucky I got this, blurry as it is.

Tomorrow, I'm either going flying or sailing... or maybe both. ;D
