Never a dull moment in Newark...

Postby beaky » Sun May 06, 2007 10:50 pm

A little drama unfolded outside my window this evening... a laid-up transit car caught on fire somehow, and nearby Ladder One got to the scene quickly. I had no idea what was going on until I heard sirens and radios, congregating instead of passing by.
Anyway, they got it out pretty quickly, after confirmation that NJT and the PA had shut down the power to the rails.
And you... are... there! Courtesy of your roving Boy Reporter.  :D

Oh no! It's good ol' 764... one of my favorites...  ::)   ;)

Oops... forgot to mention that- nobody was aboard the train, and unless a fireman tripped on the rails, nobody was hurt. ;D

Yep, it's ugly, dirty, smelly, hazardous and noisy... but it's home. :)
