I'll admit, if I edited each one of them shots again, they'd probably look slightly different!

Technically, your version is better, but I don't think it reflects the real life image as well. In the original image, the serial is visible in the shadow of the wing, which probably means that it was visible to the eye. However, as you've adjusted the black level, it's deepened the shadow, and took out the detail in them. It's probably a little too saturated in the colours, too.

I always crop to a 3:2 ratio, too (1024x682, 800x533, etc). I feel a set of images at different resolutions looks untidy, although each to their own!

I've gave it another go over (note the original image was a little soft, so forgive the sharpness). I could probably use a better example, but seeing as this one's been brought up!

Before I start to cry over the Jaguars :'( (to late!)       Please tell me which squadrons the Eurofighters are from. (Goes anti Eurofighter >:()

The F2 is from 11 Squadron, and the T1s are 29 Squadron.

(Sigh of relief) Good. Any idea when 111 Squadron is changing to the Euro *Cough*trash*cough* I mean fighter.

Forgive my anti Eurofighter ness. I just hate how it's replacing the Jag and F.3

Nope, sorry.

Anyway, the Typhoons aren't that bad. I'll be complaining when everything is replaced by the chunky F-35. ;D

Of course, I prefer Jaguars and Tornados. ;)

With the Shar gone my love for the FAA has died.  Can the Gr.7 or Gr.9 even carry AMRAAM like the Fa.2? Of course even the Gr.9 is better looking than the F-35.

I admit that you're probably correct on the dark shadows, so I took another longer look at what I had done........opened it up a bit there and now it may be more friendly to you..........what I had done was in haste as my eggs were on the way to being no-edible.... ::) .......Breakfast is very important to me.........

Personally, I think the re-edited shot from Rifleman is not as good as the original. The colours are too strong, the image over sharpened and noisy as a result. The contrast also looks a bit 'flat'. Just my opinion of course. ;)

Currently, RAF Typhoons are operated by - XI(11),29,17 and 3 Squadron.

Forgive my anti Eurofighter ness. I just hate how it's replacing the Jag and F.3

It's replacing the GR4 and the GR7 as well...

Not looking to defend what I did here, but you do realize that the image I manipulated was a small file to start with and would be improved drasticaly if the original was available......in any event, I was only supporting what Tweek had remarked in another post about how images can be improved by tweeking the original pic to strengthen weakness in the capture......... 8-)

Oh, I fully appreciate that and of course there are limitations. Just pointing out what I thought the shot looked like as it appeared. ;)
