So I STILL suck at welding...

More useless stuff made by me during practical preparation for university, but in a different company and a different project.

Got the plans, got to choose the material (4mm thick sheet of metal), drew the parts on it, cut them out, put some dents into the edges using a hammer (ouch!), got the "feet" and candle holders squeezed into the right form, welded everything together (GMAW, for those who care...), got the whole thing sandblasted and finally painted black.

Et voil

At least it appears to stand properly rather than fall over!

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

That looks good! Though I never understood the thing with Germans and spikes...  :P  ;D

It looks solid... wich is a good thing for a candleholder!

Good thing someone learns how to weld, because I only design gates for customers and than order other people to make them for me... It gives me great satisfaction when I see the end-result, but it must be even more awesome when you create it all by yourself!

It has a certain satisfactory effect to it.

Especially if you can impress others... :]

P.S: Thanks for the comments.

P.P.S: Next project - welding a whole tank together! Mwahaha!

Hehe even with your current Welding skills ( Which are way better than mine) you should be able to fabricate a higher quality tank than anything the German Army currently has or ever had in their inventory :P  8-)

Not really.

Btw: The dutch army also uses Leopard2s, so you equipment is as bad as ours. ;)
