Very good...I originally thought it was a tiger moth :-[ :-[.mic

A common enough mistake. It's easy to tell the difference if you know what to look for. The rounded wingtips give it away from that angle.

I'm used to seeing them. We have two Stampes at Shoreham that fly regularly.

PS. I just looked it up. It's an SV4C (manufactured by SNCAN in France.)

So is a good day, the day everyone is stuck at home. I have nothing but distrust of the british transport system that invloves staying on the ground!!!

Yep thats the Stampe SV4c that a chap called Dave Girling owns, its only been flying again since christmas due to it being rebuilit and re painted.

sorry i couldn't get to manchester at all, had a lot of things to do last week. glad you got some great photo's though.
