Ahhh... I love the smell of old warbirds  in the morning... smells like airshow season.  ;D
Nice to see those old girls airing out their wings.

Do you have any other photos other than ML407 and TA805? Any thing interesting in the hangars or on the line?

I have a load of photos, the problem is, even resized to 600 px wide they still are too big in file size.

That goes without saying. When places like Duxford and Old Warden are mentioned, "interesting" covers anything out of the ordinary, such as IAC-161/PV202 in its new non Irish scheme, the FW190 or anything lurking outside of Area 51... :)

Oh yes, that unfortunate job, so much for keeping a warbird genuine (even loosely!), it doesn't even look nice. ::) ;)

Mmm, I think the Irish scheme may have just been a political exercise to skirt round the dubious ethics to that the dataplate (and substantial wreckage as it was quite complete due to the crash being on landing) could be used straight away for restoration, as in its RAF identity as PV202, it crashed fatally 7 years ago yesterday. Rebuilding it as IAC-161 in it's Irish scheme probably eased the moral judgement of it going straight into the workshops.

Mind you, the same can't really be said about PL983, which following its 2001 crash will soon reappear...
