Not just the Pacific....I've sailed on just about every body of water that you can get a carrier into and I always find my head turned skyward at night (exept during night time flight ops and then my head is always on a swivle or else I'm a dead man....lol.  ;D) looking at the stars, the Milky Way is specatular, I can spot satilites, and there are always shooting stars and meteors to see.  Thunderstorms are particularly exciting and the sunsets are amazing also....

Apparently the sea state was pretty rough in the Atlantic in January...lol
