EGGD......Jets

Postby Mictheslik » Tue Apr 03, 2007 11:19 am

The jets were having some trouble with the crosswind, but not as much as the props...After 30 mins of no activity an orange jet appeared on the horizon. I shouted out "OOOH a 737!!!!" and we got really excited (after seeing hundreds of A319s.....) Turned out to be an A319 :(

No.2 is an interesting shot, pity abount the fencelines, but the grass foreground and the refelections in the nose make it stand out.

Good shots

Nice shots!! :)

Number 2 is a cool angle!!

Your Easy Jet problem sounds like my U S Airways problem!! :D

I think 50% of what lands at PHL is U S Airways but, then PHL is a major hub for them!! ::)

Third last shot! Amazing!  :o

I've also experienced the overwhelming numbers on A319-320's in Brussels...

A little tip... 737's are easy to recognize, they have landinglights in the wings, that are lowered with the flaps... if you see lights in the wings, chances are good that it's a 737!  ;)

Proof!

Proof!

Also, the 737's tail (from the -300 on) has a forward section that is angledto the tail and to the fuselage.

But that is pretty hard to spot when they're head on about 3 miles out for approach and all you can see is landing lights ;)

Thanks Kris...I'll look out for that ;)

Why has this been moved to specific aircraft types??

What was wrong with it being in photos??

I'm confused...maybe I'm going crazy ;)
