Bizarre Visitor...

Postby ReverseThrust » Fri Mar 23, 2007 8:12 pm

Flying through KMCI (Kansas City Intl) this past week, I saw an extremely rare sight--A French Air Force A340-200.

Probably the same reason I saw French, Belgian and Pakistani military personnel at a USAF base in Florida  while I was there... there's a war on. ;)
Why they wound up at a civilian airport is another question... maybe they had a problem and needed to divert there.
That sure is a nice bit of spotting... I'll bet A Net would take those, just for the rarity of such a sight.

Great shoots! French airforce birds may be used to transport important people from France... Military training? A convention?

I witnessed several of these special birds arriving at Brussels for the lastest EU-summit... they do make a great alternation from the normal traffic...

More shots like these... please...  ;)
