I still think the original model looks better. Great photos though ;)

I love the composition of the second one. the blurryness of the heli behind. Thats a real, not edited effect i'm guessing. Nice Photos all round, of a nice chopper!!

Not keen on helis but the first one is a cracker.

I missed a scoop at Shoreham last November. :'( http://www.sanews.info/PDF%20files/2004/Dec04.pdf

Carlisle Airport, the Apaches have been on a week (give or take a day) detatchment and come from 663 Squadron based at Wattisham.

It certainly is real.

The average bootneck can be attached by the head (using rivets) to any vehicle with little or no effect on their fighting efficiency ;D My cousin was in 40 Commando..... I rest my case ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

:'(
Typical.
Weatherman says "it's gonna be pouring down" and we were gonna go the Settle-Carlisle railway and then go up to the airport.
It's bloody typical of me.

Take no notice of the weather man. I thought it always rains in Carlisle anyway. :P :)

My understanding was the only time it didn't rain in Carlisle was when it was REALLY peeing down ;D

Longbows! YEAH! These are some mean choppers! They must make an enourmous racket...  8-)

What's that pilot in the firts picture trying to say? Either "Hi Steven!" or "hey you... there's a Hellfire-missle aimed at your ass right now!"  ;D

Tbh they dont really make that much of a noise, i live about 2 miles from Wattisham and one of the approaches goes right past a line of trees infront of my bedroom window, their noway near as noisy as a Chinook, but the sound of the rotors does carry for quite a long distance
