Just a quick one regarding airport photography

Postby FsNovice » Tue Feb 20, 2007 2:22 pm

I was wondering if anyone here knows if its possible to get into Bristol Airport to take photos or not, or if they're ok with you taking photos on the approach which could entail the A37 or A38. I was just wondering, as i want to go up there sometime this week as i'm off school all week. Thanks

Oooh...pick me pick me.....

I often go down to Bristol....The A38 is OK.....but gets a bit dull if nothing is landing (They usually land on 09)
The best place in bristol has to be at #1 on that map...there is often quite a crowd of people down there and there is plenty of space to park cars etc.

example shots;

All from #1

All from the A38 (except the first one)

hope that helps!

PS give me an email when youre going down...we might be able to meet up ;)

is the place still busy during the week, as i'm thinking of going on Friday. I just hope, they are accepting of me, with my very basic acer digital camera with no fancy lenses or anything. Just a bog standard camera!!!

Just try it, is what I say... I don't have a supercamera either, yet I amuse myself while standing near the EBBR runways...

just tells you what aircraft are sched to fly out of bristols, when they are set to go, what type they are, what airline and how many passengers.
Instance tomorrow from 10am to 11am you will see 24 aircraft land and depart roughly.

The only problem is, after being at manchester for 4 days in the last week and a half, I'm gonna be a bit disappointed with the lack of heavies  ;)

just as a side note to the stands link Doug posted. that is actually how Bristol is set out with runway 09 being the left side of that mini runway. So you know where to look for specific stands.
