Breaking out the big guns..

Just a few from my trip to London last weekend. We popped into the RAF Museum at Hendon, then went down to the Imperial War Museum

Mustang:

Oh - & those big guns I was talking about:


The gun on the left was mounted on HMS Ramillies between 1916 - 1941 & the gun on the right was mounted on HMS Resolution between 1915 - 1938.

15" and 16" respectively if my memory serves correctly. Beauties.

Shame too see the two recently airwrthy aircraft in shot one in a museum where the runways were dug up in 1969...

Nice shots. Until I went back to the IWM for the first time in years a couple of years back, those guns were the most vivid memory.
