A stroll along the prom

Nipped into town to keep an appointment & do some shopping. That didn't take long & it was such a beautiful morning that I had a stroll along the prom. Not done this for a while & I didn't expect to take photos. The weather's been rotten all week. I took these with my trusty F401 that I always carry with me just in case. 2 MP digicams still have their uses.

Worthing seafront in the Autumn sunshine taken from the pier. The old place looks a treat. Pretty as a picture.



The Dome cinema has just been restored. It's a listed building so they can't knock it down. It looks better now than it has done for many years.

The smart new posh flats at Splash Point on the site of the old Warnes Hotel that had been derelict for some time.


Looking back the way I've come. Time to go & get some breakfast.

I thought I was one of a few who liked to shoot images without people.....Sunday mornings downtown were my fav......everyone still sleeping away the Saturday night festivities brought lots of shots like this for me, even in a big city.........

The dome is listed, eh? looks fairly plumb to me; can't see what the fuss is about.

It wasn't deliberate but I think they give a rather nice impression of a deserted holiday town at the end of the season. I've taken many snaps like this while on holiday myself but find that most people seem more interested in the traditional holiday snaps with people posing awkwardly or pulling silly faces. ::) :D Places like Manhattan look quite different early on a Sunday morning.

Nice link for Dome info... a good thing they saved it; it's a charming old theater and pretty unusual in design.
"Edwardian Leisure Center"... that has a nice ring to it.
