Shoreham RAFA show 2006

Postby Hagar » Sun Sep 17, 2006 2:51 am

Some impressions of yesterday's show. Beautiful weather but a tad hazy all day. I'll add comments later.

Nice shots! What were the matadors like? They were supposed to fly at the red bull air race but the weather was too bad.

I agree with Kris, Doug you left enough info on there to tweak them into amazing shots with a bit of Contrast, Brightness, and Sharpening and colour correction.......

....great day of shooting for you........excellent !

Thanks for the comments. It was a good show as usual but not the best conditions for decent photos. These are about the best I got all day. I wasn't alone & some of the pros didn't bother taking photos at all. We were lucky with the weather but a lot of the participating aircraft couldn't take off from their home airfields.

What were the matadors like? They were supposed to fly at the red bull air race but the weather was too bad.

Only one of the Matadors made it on the Saturday so Paul Bonhomme did a solo display. (I think his partner Steve Jones was somewhere over the Atlantic doing his day job. They're both BA 747 captains.) Paul won the award for the best display of the weekend. I've seen the Matadors several times & consider them among the best aerobatic duos I've ever seen.
