In this post you will see that the room has been stripped of its sheetrock & insulation.
Most of the high & Low voltage wiring has been completed. I have made a ceiling soffit to accent the couch that will be below. A few mini hi-hats in the soffit will supply direct downward light onto the sitting area.
Re-insulated all the walls and put up all the sheetrock!

The room is now stripped! That is original 1944 3/4 "tongue & groove" clapboard. I will say that it is sure hard to cut through even with a powersaw!

Insulation and sheetrock are going up! All soffit lighting has been installed and 2 lighting circuits are controlled by a lighting system called "Lutron". This is basically a lighting system that is programmable and uses different light settings by a system of low voltage triggers. You can set moods and also have the lights go to a preset when you start a movie!

"Tools of the insulating kind!"

The house is heated by a new type of boiler, it is a gas-fed system called "Direct Vent" and is 98% efficient. There is no chimney as the exhaust from the boiler is forced out a 6" pipe system. I did wish I had a fireplace as I really like them! Anyway, those are "old school" radiators! They sure do put off allot of heat!
