American Airpower Musum- part 3

There are countless items here, and changes are being made often, it seems.
Remember, boys and girls: "Clear prop!" means "Clear prop!"  ;D

I seriously covet this Stinson... but I'd settle for the AT-6. ;D

Another look at this creampuff-looking L108 Voyager or "Flying Station Wagon"... I've got to come back here and see if I can bum a ride in this one. Should've done it that weekend...

Leaning over the chain (this is the active hangar/workshop space) I get a better look at that Texan. Very, very highly polished... drool.

Another coupla sad ramp queens: A Twin Bonanza that looks like it might someday fly (note the cowl plugs), and a Lockheed that looks like it's not going anywhere.

Next: part 4- the C-47

Don't laugh but for some reason that Stinson reminds me of a cartoon character. It has that eager look about it. Raring to get into the air. :D

I had the same thought about your earlier shot of the C140. Brilliant photography. http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/rotGAAM0204.JPG

It's eerie... that's precisely what I like about them.
And yet from what I hear the Voyager is a grand touring and sport-flying machine... some have wood paneling inside so you can remove the rear seat and toss cargo in there, hence the nickname "Flying Staion Wagon".
And I just love the lines of it: the big curved tail (with very large and useful rudder, making it a pretty docile taildragger); the way the belly curves... and the wing planform is very pleasing.
Here's a nice "Hagar-style" shot of a Voyager:

First one I ever saw was being torn down for a rebuild: the tail was full of bird and bee nests, but the old Franklin engine was serviceable, and she had potential.
That's when I fell in love with the 108...  :-*  man, I would love to own one of those.
