Twin Star

Postby Hagar » Thu Aug 17, 2006 3:27 pm

The Diamond Star is becoming very popular with the local flying clubs. This is one of several based at Shoreham.

I've spotted what looked very much like the twin-engined version buzzing around for a few days now

but today was the first time I got a chance at some shots. Patience pays off in the end. 8)

First one I've seen. This one is only a couple of months old & registered to Diamond Aircraft UK. Probably a demo aircraft.

I'm now waiting to get the first look at the D-JET. I expect that will be a while yet.

That twin is a real winner- I think we'll be seeing them flying for a long time.

The twin star!!! Great plane isn't it! It is used at Ostend airport as a multi-engine trainingplane... At first it looks a bit odd, but it's actually very gracefull... Great snaps Doug!

Apollo  Aviation seem to be featuring the Twinstar on their website at the moment - they became an official Diamond service centre in June.

Diamond=crap

=very sweeping statement...

Why are they so bad?

I should have known that. It's in the July issue of the Shoreham Airport News.

I knew I'd seen it mentioned somewhere. It was either that link or in one of the flying rags ("Loop" perhaps)
