'nother radial powered "Truck" !

Postby Rifleman » Sun Aug 20, 2006 11:16 pm

Just hangin' around can be so rewarding when you hear the approach of a radial.........first, you think its going to be an arrival on the river by something on floats, but lo and behold, this one had wheels and I got to see the approach and landing from 100' to the side of the runway.
After shutdown, I got to go over and take some shots under special skies.......very nice indeed.........enjoy "Trucker Doug" !

Goodmorning all! :)

You have out done yourself again Ken...what a wonderful looking DHC-2 "Beaver"...excellent.

I am sure I have seen the aircraft somewhere before and can't remember where.  I am sure it was somewhere here in Ontario. ;)

Thanks for thinking of me :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

The best part was the steep approach to a wheeled landing.........heat haze was a big factor in only showing the roll-out.......the sound wasn't all that bad to listen to either......
