Takeoff roll on Runway 25:
The sun was still high at almost 1600 hrs, and the clouds were dropping sunbeams everywhere. Just gorgeous.
Landed at Sky Manor and quickly left again... who can identify those interesting amphibs on the ramp?
After giving me a little stick time (during which I did some steeper turns than last time- weee!), Gus got under a cloud and throttled back to about 1900 as the RV4 hitched a ride on a thermal. I don't recall the exact climb rate, but it was pretty impressive
I climbed out at the pump back at 47N to get this nice photo: I also hung around later and took some more tpyical-day-at-a-small-airport shots; I'll post them soon.
I was also shooting video, and unfortunately missed a moment of taxiing mastery: I walked ahead to the T-hangar, and Gus taxiied 490 briskly down that taxiway to the right, and in one quick motion, looped her around so the tail came to rest on the T-hangar ramp just as you see it here... perfectly positioned for "pushback" into the hangar.
Very nice, but I had to bust his chops about winding up with the tailwheel 5 inches left of the centerline...

Yep... not a bad weekend. And wx permitting, next weekend I'll rent the SP and take Gus for a ride.
