Got mine the other week, same model only black.  Aren't they fun? 8)

Take the time to learn all those little buttons and menu options, they're important to get the best out of your investment.  I keep the manual in my camera bag and refer to it all the time.

Did you get any other lenses?  My only accessory (so far) is a 100-300mm lens but I intend to get a battery grip as well, not just for the extra duration but because it makes the camera easier to hold.

Don't forget to put that neck strap on, you don't want to drop the thing!

Looking forward to some airshow pics from you...

Wait... how did you take a picture of the camera if the camera... (head explodes).
;D

Don't know why I thought of that - perhaps a combination of senility, exhaustion, and lager- but this is a camera I've been thinking of getting when I finally hurl my DX7590 to the ground in disgust.
I'll expect a full report... ;)
If the lens from my old Canon fits on that body, I'll be happier than a maggot in a slaughterhouse dumpster. Any chance you could post a nice clear close-up of the opening with the lens off?
;D

All the best cameras have a "take photo of self" function.

Canon Dslrs can take canon lenses and any other lense with the same fitting. ;)

It's the same as mine & several others here. In fact they're becoming very common. ::) :P

Not sure your old lenses will fit. They must be the EOS type.

Thanks, Doug... but sadly, it's not a match.
But Canon still uses good optics, so I still want one of these. ;D
