Pretty scenery... to bad the weather wasn't a tad bit better!

I'm going for a Tornado in that planespotter-shot...  ;)

Tornado F3 I expect, seeing as RAF Leuchars is about 20 miles up the road over the Firth of Forth... :)

Nice shots Mic...

Not sure actually, looks more like a GR4 to me (short nose) but as has been said an F3 is most likely with RAF Leuchars being in the same region.

If you'd stayed on your train past Edinburgh en route to Aberdeen for some more stops you would have found yourself just outside that particular base ;)

Impossible to say at that angle and distance - could have been a GR4 transiting across the Forth...

it is a Tornado (and I think an F3)

I did stay on the train to Dundee, as I visited my granny in kirriemuir which is about 15 miles north of Dundee.

1 Tornado went over whilst we were on the train, and i got a better view of this one and it was an F3, and a training aircraft, possibly a Tucano took off from Leuchars while we were at the station and came over our train.

Then on the bus to Kirriemuir 2 Tornadoes came over the road just behind the bus so i whipped out the camera and got this rather poor shot.
