My Dancer

Postby Willit Run » Thu Aug 03, 2006 10:54 pm

Here are some pictures taken of my Daughter in the costumes she wore for her recital.  The photographer is the owner of the dance studio and a former dancer for the New York Ballet.  His wife is a former dancer for the Pennsylvania Ballet Company.  The dance studio my Daughter dances at is a satellite studio for the PA Ballet.  My Wife and I are very proud of her.

 Enjoy!! :)

Very graceful. I suppose I'll have to do with this sort of thing in due course...

Have Emi take up archery. :)

I'm glad my mom never made me take some sort of dance. I'm more of a music man. :) But Little Willit looks good, Willit. ;)

Personally, I think you might not look as cute in those types of outfits as his daughter does.... ;D

I bet standing on your toes would hurt like the dickens and I can just about imagine you trying it Mark.... ;D

Bet Agi and Emi would both be quite entertained to see you in a ballerina outfit spinning on the toes of one foot....ouch!  ;D

The last time I wore a ballerina outfit was with army boots for a drag party. Thank goodness black leather goes with pink satin ;D

Must have been fun trying to spin around and look graceful with army boots on.  :P

I had this mental picture of you dancing to Tiny Tim's rendition of, "Tip Toe Through the Tulips".... :o....not a pretty picture to say the least..... ;D

You and your wife have every reason to be very proud. :)

It is wonderful children are able to partake in such activities.

We brought our children up with music, dance, sports, cadets and sense of community participation and our grandchildren have and are being brought up with those same values. ;)

The pride and love you and your wife have certainly reflects in the face of your daughter, you are a very lucky man. ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

There are to many parents that push their children and don't teach the values to make them better people!!

Aye. Getting up at 3am to practice your ice skating routine might land you in the Olympics, but it's not very useful once you're 40. Unless you're what's-her-face.. she does the fiber commercials. :P

I think it is what most of us parents call "Building Character while instilling Family Values". :)

Some of our fondest memories and we still do it when the children come home or we visit them is to sit around the kitchen table, bring out the instruments or go into the music room to the organ and piano and raise the roof. :)
Many a long winters night and day has been spent in those rooms when the winter storms closed the roads, I think the harsh winters kept us close as a family :)

Glad to see singing runs in your family as well Cory, it does the heart good to sing. :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
