Funky approaches at EBBR...

Postby Omag 2.0 » Wed Aug 02, 2006 2:38 pm

Just to show off!  ;D

Imagine living here and seeing this every day...

Big beast MD-11 sneaking over your rooftop!

Image

I'm not exactly sure whether a Boeing 757's engine is supposed to smoke like this, or if he's adding power to maintain in the glidepath, but this doesn't look too good!

Image

And check this cowboy's approach out! See that dot high in the sky? Between the 2 clouds! Also note the roof with the lamppost as a reference ...

Image

Somewhat later... man he's decending like a brick! Same rooftop on the right.

Image

Waaay higher than normal. At this point I thought he would perform a go around, but nope! He kept on sinking to land a few seconds later... I hope the passengers had their vomitbags ready!!! ( again the roof on the right...)

Image

Man, I love this place! But I wouldn't sleep a minute if I lived here!  ;D

Cheers,

Omag

To be honest I think I'd get a tad peed off with it.

My uncle lived right under the approach to Heathrow when I was a boy. I loved visiting him as I could lay in the garden & read the registrations without my telescope. Mind you, they were real airliners in those days. :P

Oooh... you old sock!  :P  ;D I'll probably say the same thing one day, when my grandchildren post shots of yet another intergalactic spaceship in this forum... :-)

When that MD-11 passed over, i saw an old lady walking along the street... she didn't even stop to look up what the fuss was about... I think to much of this stuff isn't good...   ;D

I say if you dont like the noise dont buy a house a the end of a runway.

I LOVE IT!!

for my bad luck, in Lima it's always foggy so rarely times I see heavies, plus the airport is very far.

Great shots!! :)

I would love it!!  I would build a Widows Peek so I could stand up there and watch and shoot photos.  Of coarse I might be divorced for spending so much time up there!! ;D
