Goodwood vintage fly-in

Postby Hagar » Sat Jul 29, 2006 2:19 pm

Beautiful weather for the first day of the first-ever vintage fly-in organised by the Goodwood Aero Club. A lot of hard work had obviously been put in to make this a success. Here's a few of the more interesting visitors.

A wonderful day out indeed. Let's hope it stays fine for tomorrow.

Splendid stuff! Although nr. 3 ( G-BXHT) doesn't look that vintage to me... more like a mono-wing version of the Christen Eagle... What plane is that? I couldn't find it on airliners.net nor google the registration...

Nice shots Doug. What's plane is in #4? Am thinking it looks like a monoplane version of the Tiger Moth - may just be the shape of the tail making me think that though!

Thanks. You're not far out. It's the one & only airworthy DH.94 Moth Minor in the UK.

Thanks all. ;)

You're quite right Kris but the event is not confined to vintage types. It's a little racer named the Midget Mustang. First time I've seen it. It flew in with two Turbulents & various other types belonging to the Tiger Club. They don't only fly Tigers.

PS.

::) I gave you a link to the CAA registration database not long ago. :P

G-APTZ is a Druine Turbulent.  I noticed the other week that nobody has made a decent one for FS9 yet.  I'd do it myself but there are too many other projects getting in the way...
