Air Victory Museum at KVAY

Postby Willit Run » Wed Jul 19, 2006 10:50 pm

Here are some shots from the Air Victory Museum at KVAY South Jersey Regional Airport.  They have a pretty good collection of aircraft for a small airport museum.  All the aircraft were restored by volunteers.  I have more shots I'll post sooner or later.  Here is a link to the museum if anyone is interested.

really nice pics, they have some similar planes up here at KNXX, along with the infamous Seadart. i especially like the first one. not a fan of the corsair, simply because of its nickname to the greenshirts of its day-"man eater".

some trivia for anyone who cares. when the E-2 and C-2 are unfolding their wings, the wings sweep downand forward and come within 2 1/2 to 3 feet from the ground. if youre not paying attention, you quickly learn what it feels like to be a golf ball 5 feet from the hole. watch out for that putter!

Yeah, I want to get to the DVHAA Museum soon not only to see the Seadart but also to see the ME-262 trainer they have.

Here is a link to the Starfighter's page.  It will answer your question.

Yeah, it is packed in there pretty tight.  They want to build a bigger facility but they need the fundings to do it.  Hey, if I had it I would donate it because these people are dedicated.

Great! An A-4! Splendid little jets! I spot another one behind the Blue Angels type... (edit: Oops, looks more like a Phantom)

I love how you Americans own a Dutch Starfighter!  ;D

Wow! I really want to go to the Air Museum they have at Warner-Robins AFB.....Were those the ACTUAL Airframes? Like, no rebuilding or anything? ORIGINAL Airframes. Woah. I'd wanna hop in the cockpit of that Sabre there..........
Cheers,
DOc.

I'm pretty sure that Wright Flyer wasn't an original.

Great shots Willit. I've been to the DVHAA site, before they put everything inside. I was with my dad coming back from Philly and we asked the guard at Willow Grove if we could just go take a look. I'll have to go find the shots I took. They were on film.
