Second button down to the right of the display window on the back. It has 3 settings. Singleshot, multi-shot & timer.

Not sure. I've never used it. I think you need what's called "bulb exposure" You can select this from the Manual setting.

bulb is your friend.
But if you want the best result from it, you need to go out and buy a remote shutter release. Be it cable or infrared. That way there is no camera shake at all. goto the option to set the shutter speed. TV is it? and set it to the longest it will let you.

Read page 93 of the manual. http://www.cleaningdigitalcameras.com/pdf/EOSDRXT350DIM-EN.pdf

Set the mode dial to M & also set the lens to Manual.

We've both leaned something by it. Took me a while to figure it out, even with the manual in front of me. I've set mine up ready in case it's needed. ;)

Just rember even for an 8 sec exposure with a apeture of 8 (smallest on my camera) its gotta be dark out, otherwise it will be for too overexposed. My lightning shot was taken at about 8pm, i set the longest exposure, and smallest apeture and with alot of luck i got a nice shot. also to avoid camera shakyness set a timer as well, i set a 2 sec delay so i had plenty of time to get away form the camera  ;D Good luck and i look forward to seeing some nice shots!
