My own little paradise

Postby Nexus » Sat Jul 01, 2006 6:29 pm

I admit...I'm a city guy, no doubt.
But whenever I feel I got to get away from the up beat citylife, I make the one hour drive to my father's country house by the lake.

My mind kinda gets "defragged" at this place, and I always feel like a happier person when I get back

That last shot is fantastic. With the cloud reflection in the water. Submit it to Microsoft for a Windows Vista wallpaper. ;)

Absolutely enticing water. 8)

Though I still wouldn't dunk myself in it.  Yours truly stays away from creatures that lurk in the dark... and the deep for that matter! :-[ ;)

I take it that that is a lake inside Sweden instead of the archipeligo to the east?

Fantastic colours in the first photo.

Perfection, sheer perfection! That place is amazing Nexus - you'd never get me back in the city after visiting that place to unwind.

Cheers,

TSC.

Correct!
Rather small lake, but offers some good fishing like eel and bass.
There is a pretty nice archipelago on the western side where I live aswell. not as extensive as the stockholm side, but still  :P

TSC, the place has no WC (next year we'll arrange piping to the toilet), cell phone barely works due to poor coverage. I can make it through a week at his place, but then I have to go back and inhale that wonderful city air again  ;D

But like I said, it's a great place when you just want to escape for awhile.  :)

Lovely Place. I could live there, as long as there was a small airport nearby, electricity, and internet access. Everything else is optional ;D
