All in all they played 2 1/2 hours, a great show and still a great band!

It isn't Gun's & Roses no more since Slash left the group. Axl Rose is still a nutcase, but hey, wich metal-frontman isn't? They are in Belgium this weekend on the Graspop Metal-meeting... but my wild days are over...  ;D

I saw them on TV a while back and Axl couldn't sing, so it seemed... sounded terrible. And Slash was very important to that band... I was never a huge fan, so I couldn't see going to a show with the current line-up.

I saw them at the Monsters of Rock festival at Donnington Park (as you did then... ) in 1988.. they sounded AWFUL. None of the band could play, and Axl couldn't sing. IIRC they had allsorts thrown at them and were practically booed off stage.

I like Velvet revolver! Although the solo's arent that huge they're still awesome! Slash rules! Slither is my fav number.. Can't wait for the new album.... btw wasn't axl gonna continue under the name Chinese democracy?

Chinese democracy is the name of the new gnr-album which is planned to be released this fall...after ten years! gnr played 4 songs of chinese democracy in the show and they were quite ok...and believe me, axl CAN sing and the sound was more than great! dizzy reed and izzy stradlin were there also, and the new guitarists are unbelievably good!
