Spotting at Boeing Field again... Part I of III

Postby Boss_BlueAngels » Wed Jun 21, 2006 7:36 pm

Well, decided to do some more shooting down at Boeing Field in Seattle again, since last time was kind of a bust, being the weekend.

Splendid stuff! That lense really looks like it's worth the investment... and heathaze... that's a b*tch!  ;D

Omag...

And I'm not talking about our esteemed member Heathaze, but the summer effect on runways...  ;)

Thanks, I'm glad you like the pics!  Man, it just feels so amazing to finally, after 8 years, have professional level equipment!

The pictures look super crisp in the 12x15 format... so my next order through my webpage will be full size poster prints with lamination, 20x30!

yeah, the heathaze really is going to be a problem now.  I could hardly even notice it at 300mm, but getting in there that little bit more really magnafies the distortion. lol

Hehe, I haven't lurked through these forums in a long time.  I was surprised to see B_Blue here.  If you got that Bigma, then why haven't I saw new pics on Fencecheck???  Better get to it!

Hey, nice shots!! I happen to live in Seattle, east of Lake Washington. Today, I went and saw the Wings of Freedom at Paine Field! It was amazing, I never knew the B-17 was so small!!!!

That "421" is actually a 340.  Difference is hard to tell while spotting I know.  The 421 has larger, geared engines, and also has a much longer nose.

Peanut:  Yeah, isn't that amazing how cramped it is inside?  Man, I was blown away my first time too.  And ya know, they'll be back down to Boeing Field next weekend too. :D

Ruptured Duck:  Oh hey, thanks for the correction!!   Yeah, I'm not too good at ID-ing the civvy planes yet, but am working on it!  I'll go and change it to 340.
