Yay!!! Finally high school is done and over with. as much as I want to go back, it's time to move on.

and it's picture time. I got 5 today with me (mom took 348 pictures... dont think im posting them all here;))

this was the besty picture my grandma got, my mom's camera didnt work, and my aunt was video taping it. and and... the professional camera guy forogt to take my picture shaking hands with the principal. oh the luck...



Here I am after graduation with my girlfriend. we've been going for over a year, and only today did she meet my family



and me diploma!!!

Not every high school. My high school's colors were two toned. Yellow and black were the colors of the Miami Sunset Knights.

Very interesting question so I had a hunt round. As I suspected it has a religious background like other forms of ceremonial dress. http://www.phildress.co.uk/london/origins.html
When I was at Grammar school all our teachers (we called them masters) traditionally wore a plain black gown while teaching. They only wore the 'mortar board' & other finery on special occasions.
