jones beach airshow pt5B-more warbirds!

In case you liked the first pass of warbirds, here's another look. They were going around a racetrack pattern over the water, affording a few chances to capture them.

The sunlight bouncing off the surf really made up for a lot with this one!

Moving ankle-deep into the cold water and braving hurtling kids and balls yielded some better looks at the others, too...

All good shots; despite it's not quite up to par performance, I think the P-40 was a fairly good looking plane for its time.

Go figure. The Airpower Museum has a C-47; no idea why it didn't show.
But a B-17 makes a pretty good stand-in for a C-47... ;D

I still haven't seen a DC-3 fly even tho the Museum 1 hr south of here has that \/ DC-3, and their B-17 broke a wing spar so it wasnt flying at SoF
