Some new views from LOWW (Vienna)

Postby Ijineda » Wed May 24, 2006 6:55 am

Decided to take my bike again to Vienna International Airport, but same situation as last time: landings at the rwy where I couldnt get, bad bad weather and camera problems. In fact there were only 3 birds I could identify (with reg), but I took some more pics I wanted to share!

First off, I came past a McDo near the airport, and I saw this poor old bird beeing used as a child toy!   :-/

Its even possible to enter (see the stairs left), but the door was closed...probably not warm enough yet.

I wanted to get as close to the rotating point as possible and crossed many fields (the farmers will be mad!). Finally I spotted a rabbit.  ::) Impossible to get closer, and all those trees blocked my view.

Image

Then I saw this hole in the airport fence and for a moment I was tempted to pass through...but then again the area is always patrolled by the police and I dont expect them to understand my passion for aviation...and I dont wanna be accused as a terrorist!

The tower...should be familiar to those who own FlyTampas Vienna!

Alitalia Emb 175 climbin up the trees...

Image

Im really mad I screwed this one up...Bearbus A319, fantastic livery, but I will get another chance someday!

Just a look into the sky...

Take a look into part 2 also, better shots are waiting there!  ;)

Pity about the circumstances... I bet there will be better days! And never crawl trough such a hole... Some people look at spotters as suspicious people allready as it is....

You get an A for effort... and what the heck is that static-displayed plane? Yet another DC3 knockoff?
