Office view

Postby beaky » Sat May 20, 2006 10:39 am

Had the company camera Friday for a while, and decided to take a shot of my desk at the office at Rockefeller Plaza. Not too shabby... and the windows open, too, which I like.

Is that Central Park I spot?

Not shabby at all my friend... awsome view... But I'd hate to work in a high-rise building. I'd feel trapped...  :)

Yes, it is Central Park. Too bad about that ugly building blocking most of the view...:P But with the old job, when I was at the office I didn't even have a window, so I'm not beefing.
Fortunately I'm not usually there; I'm a field technician, so I'm usually on-site somewhere. I'd also go bonkers stuck behind a desk all day...
But it's a little slow now, so I'm stuck hanging around waiting for some little task. I was supposed to be at an amusement park all next week, but that's been postponed.

I'm pretty sure his boss will like the fact that his screen shows simv, instead of some highly complicated connection-scheme...  ;D

Hey, cool 8)

Reminds me of the view from my office in downtown Philly-

Second best first job for a 16 year old ever.  (just behind porn, of course :P ;D )

edit: Our offices actually look scarily similar.  I may post some more shots of the interior.

Lol.. Actually I think my sisters old apartment is pretty close to your office building. Drive past City Hall and make a left..

The Dell C/D series have become really, really popular.  I learned the machine inside and out when I had the afformentioned job.

That Simviation screen with Central Park in the background suddenly reminded me how widespread this community is. The world's our oyster, really.

26th. And I don't really work much at that desk; when there's stuff on it it's usually somebody else's. ;D
I wish there wasn't a phone- there's no receptionist (yet?) and the damn things are always ringing. It's never for me, so I hate having to answer it.
