Uuuh, my job is fueling planes.

Uptight pilots and passengers complain to me
I work with harmful materials
My boss is a lunatic

Other than that its awsome, I meet cool pilots and get to play with the planes

Not a GA airport.  Lots of Bizjets.  Is that GA?

I thought GA was anything that wasn't chartered

Some nice moody shots there. No1 is excellent. ;)

Maybe they could be a tad bigger.

Great pics Duck - but don't tell people that you just 'refuel planes', tell them that you 'Authorise & control the distribution of highly explosive materials to the aviation industry'. Much better ;)

Cheers,

What's wrong with this? One of your images quickly resized to 800 pixel width in IrfanView.

It's still well below the 100k image limit & the thread is still below the total 500k limit including this one. It would look even better if I had the original image to work from.

Those are amazing photographs!  My favorite is the second one.  I could picture that as the cover of a brochure for Cessna!

I work at a small time GA airport and I love it too.  I could have a better boss, but all the other mechanics I work with all have the same feelings towards him... so that makes things more fun. haha

It's a smaller airport, with about 400 resident a/c and a 2,700 x 36 foot runway (and parallel grass runway as well)  I get to help in the shop with all the company a/c.  I get to run all the mag checks prior to going in for maintenance, then open all access panels, remove the interior, service the landing gear/wheel bearings, change the oil, and lube the pullies.  Great fun!  It's an incredible job as I get to taxi around all the planes.  After I get checked out in each one (And my Commercial certificate in a short bit) I'll then be allowed to conduct the post-maintenance check-flights!  Yippee!!  And on top of all that goodness I get a 15% discount on a/c rentals!  Wohoo!!

When there are no company airplanes in for maintenance I get to wash them all day long, and when our line guy is on lunch, I'm the stand in.  Working the line is actually my least favorite thing as it kills my knees jumpin' up and down everywhere.  Ugh.
The day is always better when you're flying upside down.
