Well here are a few of randoms from me and my new Camera......the tax man finally gave me a refund from a while back and I put it into my old love of photography.....this feels even better than when I got my first 35mm back in the mid 70's.......

First, two views of our airpark and the mountains beyond on Vancouver Island


This is the driving range of the Golf Course where Wendy and I can be found occasionally in the summer...this view is almost south....

Later on, same evening, as the sun is just starting to set behind the mountains ...........this view is more to the northwest....


Will bring more, as I get out and start shooting the spring colours.........

The camera I picked up is an Olympus Evolt E-500 with a short (portrait) zoom with a 35mm equivalent of 28-90mm and a longer zoom equivalent to an 80-300 mm zoom........neither are real fast but the capability to boost ISO up to 1600 will be a welcome enhancment for the low light days.....for now its just time to practice and learn the most efficient way to operate the camera in its working environment......

The city where I live is called Courtenay, in the Comox Valley area of Vancouver Island.  British Columbia is on the west coast of Canada..........
