High level crossover...

Postby F3Hadlow » Wed Apr 05, 2006 8:54 am

Saw this interesting sight earlier :) The right hand aircraft is the C17 and the other is a B747...

How come the 747 is only giving out 3 contrails?  ???  :o
Or is it an optical illusion?

I see four ;)  Just gotta look a little closer on the right wing, the perspective kinda makes it hard to see both of them.

Nice shot :)

Aye, with the wrapping that the contrails do, it's a bit hard to see #4.  Lovely pictures, I'm a sucker for contrails.

And really?  A C-17?  Always seems weird to me to see a military plane of such leaving a contrail just like a 747, they're in such different classes it seems.

I know what you mean but yes it was a C17, I took the photograph in the below thread about 3 minutes later :)

My thoughts exactly... I was under the impression that a contrail is a contrail is a contrail.

They don't need to be jets. http://freepages.military.rootsweb.com/~josephkennedy/combat_photo_gallery2.htm

PS. Nice one Omag. ;)
