More shots of my Model Railway - PART 1

Postby edzmen » Sun Mar 26, 2006 7:46 am

Well after all the great feedback I got for my first set of shots from my model railway, I thought I'd upload
some more recent ones for you to see.
I've added more trackside scenery now including fencing, buildings [oast house, barn, stables], and some
more foliage.

Hope you enjoy them:

My favourite locomotive!
British Rail Class 9F - 'Evening Star' the last ever steam locomotive to be built for British Rail and THE best
post-war type produced.

The real 'Evening Star' is preserved as part of the National Collection at York. It also holds the record for the
greatest  passenger tonnage hauled single handily by a steam locomotive; 426 tonnes, un-assisted, over the fierce gradients of the Mendips line during the 1960's.

Bulleid Pacific: re-built Merchant Navy Class, 'Clan Line' - the most famous of the preserved examples - waits
for clearance by the main signal box with a Pullman dinner service:

Have a look at my second post for more shots!

Thanks for looking! :) ;)

Your layout looks superb and I love that 9F loco, shame Hornby don't currently model one of those.
I've just sorted out my track plan and begun working on my final layout (although I'm already planning an extension) and I spent over

*Checks loco name in HawkerTempest's pic*

Oh! I see! ::) :D

I didn't think BR repainted the Mallard in their green livery...could be a different make other than Hornby, but other than that, well, I dunno :D

Here's my layout.

I run moslty American, but have some European and British stock. Currently going through a British phase however and have recently bought some new stock (sorry no pictures of them, havent taken any shots since I bought them. They were however a Class 170 Turbostar, Deltic - Black Watch, and a Class 20)

Anyway here we go
