The reason they take footprints instead of fingerprints is because an infants fingers aren't completly developed yet, and the ridges may still change. By the time you are a year or two old however, your stuck with what you got. Unless of course, you are amazingly clumsy and burn your print off your index finger in Chem, like I did, that was about a year ago and it still hasn't come back.

I doubt they are worse than my running shoes. They've been banned from the flat and have to live on the balcony away from the door ;D However the upshot of them being worse than even the most evil French cheese is that dogs don't attack me when I'm out for a run... they run away whining ;D
